Good morning beautiful humans!! Happy Friday, thanks for spending part of your morning with me. Welcome to Life with Lane!
Lately, most of my blogs have been more on the serious side because of all the things that are going on around me. I am always motivated to write about what I see in life. The things that I go through and things that weigh on my heart.
However, I thought it would be nice to get back to what I really really love…….FOOD! With that being said, Let’s Eat!!!
Last year back in May, I traveled to Utah for the 1st time in my life. Jim had to travel there for work and I went with him. At the time I didn’t have a blog and I wasn’t able to share the delicious meal we had at the restaurant, Blind Dog. Ah-ha, Blind Dog isn’t what you thought it would be, lol! Now I am able to share that experience.
Jim and I decided we were going to drive in the mountains. I have to say this was one of the best most romantic drives I have ever been on. The mountains were so beautiful, the scenery was just breath-taking, and the weather was perfect! It was like we were driving on a movie set. I was in complete awe! I took so many pictures; I mean like 500, lol.
We ended up in Park City, Utah. We had been driving around for a while and we had gotten hungry. I took out my phone and looked up restaurants in the area. A place called the Blind Dog was one of the 1st restaurants that came up. I read the reviews and it seemed like a pretty decent place but I wasn’t sold. So, I continued to look for other restaurants. However the Blind Dog is where we ended up eating.
We walked in and the restaurant was really really nice. We were sat at a table in the right corner of the restaurant. The Ambience what’s really nice! The restaurant was pretty busy and the server was kind of late in getting to the table but when I tell you it was worth the wait, it was worth the wait!
We ordered a great bottle of Riesling. It was some of the best wine we’ve ever had and we really like wine . I ordered edamame as an appetizer. Jim had never had it before so it was wonderful to see his face the first time he tried it! Guess what? He really liked it.
For our entree, which we shared, we had a crabcake on top of a filet with broccoli on the side. It was the most delicious meal ever! You might be thinking this doesn’t sound like a spectacular meal or anything new or different. Let me tell you that the crabcake was so flavorful and seasoned! It melted in our mouths. The filet could be cut with a butter knife! A butter knife! We looked at each other and said, “Oh my God, this is so good!”
For dessert we had a yummy skillet cookie with vanilla bean ice cream on the top! Vanilla Bean ice cream is my favorite flavor so I mean…..yeah! It made no sense for a meal to be that mouthwatering.
As you can see this food made quite an impression on me! It was just that good the food. Our taste buds were really happy that day!! Food makes me happy, delicious food makes my LIFE! 🙂
It is my dream to travel the world and write about my experiences. All the while tasting all the different food and drinks!
