These past few months I’ve been feeling so many different emotions. For the longest time I thought it was odd and then I realized it’s OK to feel different emotions at the same time.
When my sweet little pup Dusty passed away almost 3 months ago I was devastated. I was also sad, heartbroken, distraught, and depressed.
Although it was almost 3 months ago, which isn’t very long, I feel sad when I think about him being gone. Then I feel bad for feeling sad for him because I think I’m neglecting Onyx by thinking about Dusty. I felt like feeling sad about Dusty was taking away from my time and love for Onyx.
I realized it’s okay for me to miss Dusty and occasionally feel sad about him being gone and still love Onyx with all of my heart. I can feel for both of them at the same time. Me feeling sad for Dusty doesn’t diminish (I think that’s the right word) because I love Onyx so much.
It’s kinda like when people make it seem like you can’t like Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. Like you have to pick one or the other and you can’t like both, lol!
