Good morning beautiful humans, happy Sunday! Thank you for spending part of your morning with me are evening depending on where you live in this great big beautiful world. Welcome to Life with Lane, my life through words, pictures, and food!
Its Mother’s Day, the day we celebrate the best thing on Earth, Moms! I know most people think they have the best Mother on earth. Well, that is what they’re supposed to think! However, when I say I have the best Mother, its true, lol!
I could write about all the reasons why my Mom is the best Mother, but I already have in so many of my blogs. I write of my family often, especially my Mother because she’s made the biggest impact of anyone. A Mother is selfless, giving, nurturing, kind, compassionate, firm, and full of love!
Mother’s are often tired but they always keep on going. They are fearless when it comes to their children. They are role models, human shields, in home nurses, teachers, therapist, and some many other things! All those things describe my Mother.
My Mother taught me what it is to be strong and how to be independent. She showed me that sometimes we have to work at jobs we don’t necessarily like to get where we need to go. She showed me what it meant to work hard and put family first. Lastly, she showed me the true meaning of love and she instilled God in me. Not the overbearing, shoving religion down my throat kind of way. Maybe because she didn’t do it that way is why still as an adult; I love church and the bible. I don’t go as often as I should but I love God.
I do believe Mom is the most used word in the entire world. When I hang around my sisters and my friends that have children, I hear the word Mom over and over again. I imagine it can be very annoying and aggravating at time, lol! That comes with being a Mom. I’ve never had the pleasure of being a Mother, well not to human babies, lol!
Being a Mother is the toughest job in the world and everyday women all over the world do it everyday! My Mom is Mother to five of us and she did it without the help of my father and she never once complained. Well, atleast I didn’t hear her complain. She had the help of my lovely Aunt Pie, my favorite auntie EVER!
So, Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mother’s out there! Today is your day. Kick up your feet, go out to dinner, get a massage, play golf, or whatever you want to do! It’s YOUR DAY! The world would be in shambles without you.
As a bonus, I want to say thank you to my Mother for my sense of humor, my wittiness, and my resilience. My fabulous cheekbones (lol), my lips, my poker face, my confidence, and personality!
