Knowing When To Throw in the Towel!!

Good morning beautiful humans,  happy Wednesday! Thank for spending part of your morning with me or evening depending on where you live in this great big world. Welcome to Life with Lane; my life through words, pictures, and food!

Life with Lane: My life through words, pictures, and food!

I’m not an advocate for quitting, lol! Well, except for when it comes to smoking. Quitting is definitely the way to go. However, I do believe in knowing when to throw in the towel. I’m talking about all the candidates for the Democratic Presidential Nomination.

There’s something like 25 or 26 candidates and I’m like really. I know I’m a little late when it comes to this. The debate was a few weeks ago but I’m just now getting around to this. It was on my mind and I wanted to write about it.

Michael Bennet, Joe Biden, Bill de Blasio, Corey Booker, Steven Bullock, Pete Buttigieg, Julian Castro, John Delaney, Tulsi Gabbard, Kirsten Gillibrand, Mike Gravel, Kamala Harris, Jay Inslee, Amy Klobuchar, Wayne Messam, Seth Moulton, Beto O’Rourke, Tim Ryan, Bernie Sanders, Tom Steyer, Joe Sestak, Elizabeth Warren, Marianne Williamson, and Andrew Yang. Oh my God, I didn’t know it was that many. I haven’t even heard of some of those names until I typed this, lol!

I admit a lot can happen in the next few months but when you are polling less than 1 and 2% I think its time to let this go. I wanted to be Florence Griffith Joyner when I was little and even when I got older. I just knew I was going to be in the Olympics and win all of these medals. It was my dream. However, I’m almost 39 years old, I don’t work out enough, I hate the gym, I don’t healthy enough, and I’m not even sure I can run anymore…………lol! I have to let that dream go, I have to throw in the towel. Time for a new dream.

So, Mike Gravel, Jay Inslee, Seth Moulton, Tom Steyer, Joe Sestak, John Delaney, Wayne Messam, Marianne Williamson, and Tulsi Gabbard, I think its time to throw in the towel. There’s one thing to have a dream and dream big. There’s also a thing called being realistic. Maybe other people know who you are but I don’t and I’m all into the news. Sometimes you have to take one for the team and live your dream through others.

I’m like the most optimistic person ever but I’m also a realist. Thanks for reading my blog. Let me know your thoughts. Have a wonderful blessed day and always be kind! Follow me on Instagram @lifewithlane14
