His little red sweater

Good morning beautiful humans, happy Friday! We made it! Thank you for spending part of your morning with me or evening depending on where you live in this great big world. Welcome to Life with Lane; my life through words, pictures, and food! Come on in…..

“His little red sweater!”

I often talk about the little blue sweater but I don’t talk about the red one. Onyx was gifted his fabulous little red sweater for Christmas in 2018. Up until then I had never put a shirt on him. I honestly thought it was silly to put a shirt on a dog. I mean they already have on fur coats full time, lol!

I had a change of heart once I saw how he looked in his sweater. Now, he doesn’t want to go without it. I honestly think it makes him feel safe and comfortable.

You know how kids can’t sleep without their favorite teddy bear or favorite blanket. Or how you have a favorite pair of socks or sweatshirt that makes you feel at ease, that’s how he is with his sweater.

I could easily buy him more but he seems to really love this one. When I take him for his walk in the morning and before we go out and he’s not wearing it, he looks at me to put it in him before we step out. If I come home from work and he seems to be unhappy or shaking, I put it on and he stops. His sweater is his place of comfort and security ❤
